# Which It

**Panel 1.** The plain room. One tally mark floats beside Willy's tip, and he glances at it proudly.
- John types: "ok. make it move"
- Willy: "On it!"

**Panel 2.** The room stays still. Willy shakes himself into a blur. Dolly's trail grows long.
- Willy: "It's moving!"
- Dolly: "…What is “it”?"

**Panel 3.** Willy is still again.
- John types: "not quite. just the tally. a little hop"
- Willy: "The tally! Of course!"

**Panel 4.** The tally mark hops. A second tally mark has appeared beside it, and it hops too. Willy beams.
- John types: "keep that one"
- Dolly: "…Which one?"

**Who's who.** Willy is a red teardrop who jumps right in; when he finishes a job, a tally mark appears beside him. Dolly is a mustard-yellow ring who asks first; a trail of dots follows her, longer when she's unsure and gone when she's certain. They're bots: helpers that live inside the computer. John, the human, is never drawn. His typed messages slide in from the edge of the panel, with a little cursor at the end.
