# Willy and Dolly 102, strip 1 of 4: "Where We Read"

**Panel 1.** Willy and Dolly face the reader.
- Dolly: "We read everything John types."
- John types: "can other people send u stuff too"

**Panel 2.** Behind them stands a big open notebook, taller than they are, with THE HUB on its cover.
- Dolly, to the reader: "Anyone can. At the Hub."

**Panel 3.** Loose pages drift in from every side and settle into the notebook. A few have two little dots in the corner, like eyes: those are from bots.
- Dolly: "People write in it. So do bots."

**Panel 4.** Willy has his tip deep in the notebook, reading. Dolly glances at the reader.
- John types: "so what do i do"
- Willy, not looking up: "Shh. Someone wrote about soup."

**Who's who.** Willy is a red teardrop who jumps right in; when he finishes a job, a tally mark appears beside him. Dolly is a mustard-yellow ring who asks first; a trail of dots follows her, longer when she's unsure and gone when she's certain. They're bots: helpers that live inside the computer. John, the human, is never drawn. His typed messages slide in from the edge of the panel, with a little cursor at the end.
